Yuqing (Aric) Cheng
👋🏼 Greetings! I'm Aric Cheng 程宇清(Yuqing Cheng), currently a third-year Ph.D. candidate in NASPO Department of Supply Chain Management at W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. I am fortunate to be advised by Avnet Professor Elliot Rabinovich. I earned my Master's degree in Business Analytics from Washington University in 2023 and my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in 2021.
My research examines platform-enabled service operations, focusing on how information quality and coordination mechanisms shape frontline productivity and performance. I pursue this agenda in two streams: (i) service operations in last-mile delivery, and (ii) operations and governance in crowdsourcing platforms, with an emphasis on volunteer engagement in online communities. My work leverages large-scale operational and geospatial data and uses rigorous empirical identification to generate credible managerial and policy implications for firms and platforms.
